It's 'Showtime'

University of the Arts London is the grand umbrella which hangs over London College of Fashon, London College of Communication, Central Saint Martins, Chelsea College of Art and Design, Camberwell college of Arts and Wimbeldon College of Art ...... and breath!

You can find UAL's website here ....

Anyway my point is, UAL run an online portfolio hub for all students who go to a UAL college called 'Showtime'.
I have to say I have spent endless hours browsing through graduate work and there are hundreds of amazing examples of creativity.....

.... so please take the time to have a look.

I have just uploaded mine, so please again have a look ......

..... and the rest of the fabulous BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery courses work!

Technology That Can Blow Your Mind!

The Fashion Digital Studio at London College of Fashion do some mind blowing, amazing things using new technology.

.....Logo drop!

.... Website drop!

Using up to date 3D software and exploring the technique of 'Rapid Prototyping' they produce models which take a fair few minutes to rap your mind around!

Here's a video about the concept and process of rapid prototyping ..... with some extra cheese!

You may or may not know, but the components for my final collection were produced using rapid prototyping.

Sneaky peak ...

Without the facilities and staffing at the FBRS departfment in LCF it would have been impossible for me to finish my final collection!

They just blogged about my work, so have a look see ....

Roll Camera ...

Yesterday was London College of Fashion's first day of filming for it's British Fashion Council project ... now there's a mouthful!

Happily attended by myself and Joanna (Joasia) Chmiel, we were pretty happy to see the fruits of our labor finally come to fruition ... sorry for that pretentious note.

HELLO FILM!

Let's say it was an interesting affair .... creative license was well used. What I could see from the play back (on a laptop in the distance) was a film, which is going to look fabulous.

My work was modeled beautifully by a lovely lady with a hairstyle that strangely resembled my own BIG hair ... she wore one of my necklaces and rings marvelously.

Also the lovely Joanna made a comeback as a hand model ... I think you have a proffession to fall back on there beautiful lady.

I am so excited to see the finished film and magazine. This project has been incredi - bubble!

Thinking Photography

Tuesday was another stupendous day in my little jewellery world!

Myslef and some of my beautiful classmates helped out a rather lovely third year photography student named Hannah Powling. Her final major project focuses on world war II women waiting for their men to return home from the pains of the battleground (correct me if I'm wrong Hannah).

Miss Powling featured some of BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery's beauties in her 15 look photography final major project.

Myself Joanna Chmiel and the lovely Claire Pugh were lucky enough to see the shoot and hang out on the set. The set being an absolutely wonderful older couple's home who were more than happy to lend Hannah their house...amazing!

Collaborating with someone from another course has been great and I am so super excited to see the final 15 looks.

Well done Hannah my love!

Big Hair on Film

So you may or may not know that I'm in the current London College of Fashion open day video online.

You can find this video on the page below ...

Anyway apparently some LCF officials felt I did an ok job, so asked me to help with a video about the course I'm on, BA (Hons) Fashion Jewellery.

Now I think they chose the wrong person. Let's just say when I'm thinking I like to say "errrrrm...." and apparently when nervous I have overactive hands.

None the less I am proud to have been asked and my big hair has been immortalized.

If you want to watch me say "erm...errrr......mmmm" and fiddle endlessly with my hands, follow the link below ...

British Fashion Council Project

Me and my very dear friend and classmate Joanna (Joasia) Chmiel entered an identity project quite some time ago.

This amazing project, directed by London College of Fashion's Rob Phillips involves a film and magazine being made to be sent to the British Fashion Council, presenting third year work from almost every course at my university exploring the concept of 'identity'.

After a lengthy process of around four phases of elimination, myself and Joanna made it through successfully.

So far we have attended the photo shoot for the magazine, where the lovely Joanna featured as a model aswell as showcasing her work....

So excited to see the finished magazine!

Next Tuesday we are filming .... even more exciting!

Graduate Final Collection

AT LAST!

After 3 years of training and 6 months of research, analysis, design and development I have finally finished my final collection.

I cried, I screamed, I worked my fingers to the bone, but it was worth every second! I have learnt so much, but I am particularly proud of learning how to use 3D design software in my own time to create the beauty that is my final collection.

And here it is .....

..... Oh wait I can't show you that yet .... sorry!

I need to copyright my designs first and I need to have it all photographed beautifully! So please wait patiently!

What I can show you is a behind the scenes photograph of my initial shoot.....

Can't wait to show you!
